As a last upgrade to my DIY class A amplifier, I decided to change the resistors in the signal path to tantalum types. These resistors are expensive and I didn't want to replace all resistors. The signal path resistors are the filter in the front end, the feedback and gain resistors. What a pleasant surprise! These are good! What I heard was silence between notes, quiet no noise clear well defined music. The sound different instruments made, made more sense. Guitar was like the musician was sitting in front of me in the room picking and strumming away.
The musicality or rather the ability to portray the original exactly as it was recorded is superb. Will I buy these resistors for my next project.... absolutely.
