(valve filament) TentLabs Directly Heated Valve Filament Supply (valve heater) TentLabs Tube Heater Supply
TentLabs Heater Supply
TentLabs Directly Heated Tubes Supply
Despite their massive linearity, Directly Heated Tubes (DHTs) have one major disadvantage. Their heater is part of the signal flow, i.e. is included in the audio path, hence the heater supply is affecting the sound.
TentLabs now introduces a novel heater module, based on traditional techniques, but with some major advantages over existing solutions. Read further!

TentLabs valve heater supply
TentLabs Tube Heater Supply
This module is intended to supply the heaters of indirectly heated tubes. Their supply isn't half as critical as the supply of directly heated tubes. Why this module? It is compact, very low drop, does the full job from AC in to DC out over a range from 2.5V to 10V. It is able to supply a stable 1A 6.3V DC voltage from a 6.3Vac winding

tentlabs logo All about TentLabs
TentLabs was founded and headed by Guido Tent, born in 1967 close to Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Guido studied analogue electronics and graduated on the subject of linearity of (directly heated) triodes at a company called deJongSystems. For a few years he worked with that company, where he gained massive experience on design and repair of tube amplifiers, though limited prospects made him decide to change jobs and join Philips Semiconductors. He was involved in the field of EMC and signal-integrity (application, design and innovation of silicon). After gaining 5 years experience he changed over to product development where he worked on the first digital DVD recorder (Philips DVDR1000). He now works on high speed DVD recording (mainly for PC industry).
In his spare time audio keeps him interested. He developed and built tube based products and designed a high-end audio DAC. The DAC development gained deep insight in the field of digital audio, especially jitter. This finally led to a successful low jitter clock module.
As a result of all this work, and the interest of various people, TentLabs was born. Core business is digital audio combined with, (tube) amplifiers and consultancy regarding signal integrity and EMC.

TentLabs XO Supply Upgrade
TentLabs XO-Supply
Upgrade any XO clock module. As with many circuits, they are all affected by the power supply. The noisy environment of digital units requires a separate supply. Although great care has been taken to minimise the influence of existing power supplies on XO-2, XO-3 or XO-DAC, XO supply enhances the sound quality of all these units, due to galvanic isolation and a novel, nearly forgotten filtering technique. See the product page for more details.

TentLabs XO DAC Upgrade
TentLabs XO DAC Upgrade
As within CD players, external DACs need that same low jitter clock! Unfortunately industry solutions do not offer jitter at the levels a serious audiophile need. XO DAC re-times the regenerated clock and delivers a new clock: equal frequency but at least 20 times less jitter! The complete board is ready to mount, it is a little bit more cumbersome compared to mounting XO2 or XO3 but the result is definitely worth the trouble

TentLabs Shunt Regulator Power Supply Upgrade
TentLabs Shunt Regulator
Tentlabs shunt regulators are designed to upgrade power supplies of both analog and digital circuits,mo stly found in CD/DVD players, DACs and similar audio equipment.Substituting, or adding these regulators enhances the sound quality in terms of transparency and resolution, at reasonable price. Connections in general are easilly made. This type of upgrade requires little knowledge of electronics hence is accessible for every enthousiastic audiophile DIY.

Jitter at the digital to analogue conversion affects the amplitude of the regenerated signal. Timing errors therefore yield distortion with respect to the original analogue waveshape. Substituting the standard clock with this new low jitter clock oscillator will greatly enhance the sound quality of your digital disc players. The clocks are now made available at a very reasonable price! The complete boards are quick and easy to mount, and offer highest performance at a very acceptable price point!
