Please fill out the following specification form to outline the design of your transformer. If you only want to specify one type leave the other two blank. If you need to start the form again press "reset", when you are happy with your choices press "submit". Once submitted, we will get back to you via e-mail with a quote and a copy of your requested specification. We use grain orientated steel M6 material for all Glasshouse transformers, we find this material to give the best performance at reasonable cost. Please consult the pictures on the left hand column when considering the various options available to you. You will see in this form you have the option for submitting specification for a mains transformers, valve output transformer and choke.
Please ensure you fill out the "Your details" section.

MAINS TRANSFORMER SPECIFICATION
You can calculate the VA rating of your transformer by multiplying the voltage X current of each secondary winding and adding them together. Please refer to the TRANSFORMER SIZE GUIDE to determine the size of your transformer. If you want your transformer to run cool then oversize it. Please use the comments box to specifiy this.

VALVE OUTPUT TRANSFORMER SPECIFICATION
The size of your output transformer can vary, we will get back to you on the available options. If you are unaware of the "primary impedance" required then leave blank, and try to fill in the other options. We may need to know a little about the circuit you are using, but will be incontact. We would advise you to use the fewest windings on the secondary of your transformer as this improves interaction between the primary & secondary windings. All custom output transformers are designed by Andy Grove.
For your reference see the TRANSFORMER SIZE GUIDE

CHOKE SPECIFICATION
Once we have your specification we can calculate the size of the transformer. Choke input filter chokes tend to be twice as large as their capacitor input counterpart.
