Elekit PS-3249R USB-DAC Module Kit
This module converts the digital sound signal from your PC / MAC to an analogue signal. Just connect the module to the USB terminal of your PC / MAC via a USB 1.1 to 2.0 to USB mini-B lead (not provided), and it will be automatically recognized - no software installation is required. No external power supply is required. This is a kit; you must populate the PCB with the parts provided.
The module uses PCM2704C and NJM4580D for the output stage's Digital Analogue converter and OP Amp. In addition, IC sockets are used so that you can exchange the OPAmp with your favourite one to compare the difference in sound.
This PCB allows you to expand the design further, as it has its own power supply option rather than using the USB supply. You must buy your own components. They fit on the right side of the PCB if you want to do this. You select which power supply you want to use using wire jumpers. Also, there is the option to feed off an external clock; again, you would use jumpers to choose which. You can also add your own push-button volume control if you wish. So a lot of options are available.
PS-3249R is designed to fit inside the TU-8100 PCL86 SINGLE STEREO POWER AMP KIT; the USB-DAC signal has to be hardwired to external inputs inside the TU-8100 via a screened cable.
Also, the PS-3249R fits inside the TU-8200R and TU-8200VK STEREO AMPLIFIER. The signal output of the DAC is externally connected to the amplifier input via a 3.5mm jack-to-jack lead (not provided).

PS-3249R allows the following extensions.
- Change the power supply system from USB bus power to self-power system to supply external power.
- Addition of volume control switch - to enable control of the PC volume from the module by adding a push switch.
- Connection of external clock - Connection of an oscillator with less jitter
