Featuring the famous 300B in single ended mode and circuit design by Andy Grove, of Audio Note, World Audio Note and Quad fame. Other valves used are the EF86 pentode as the input valve and the double triode 5687 valve as driver/follower valve. The power supply is valve rectified with a 5U4. All heaters are DC regulated for minimum hum during operation. Internally the kit is hard wired through out. The chassis is constructed of 2.5mm aluminium, crowned with a copper plate. The transformer cover is made of 1.6mm mild steel. Both power and intergrated versions are available.

We have created a reasonable cost passive with a great cast of components to push the boundries of what you can achieve with a passive. At the core we have the popular L pad Dale Vishay stepped attenuator, the Elma 2 pole 6 way selector switch, Audio Note silver plated insulated phono sockets and 99.99% pure silver HGC hook-up wire throughout. The No.1 has 6 inputs, one record output and 2 outputs. The chassis is constructed of 2mm black powder coat aluminium, with a 6mm front plate. You have the option of 10K, 50K, 100K and 250K for the stepped attenuator.

Following on from the success of the Passive pre-amp and all the buzz being generated about transformer volume control, we have created the Glasshouse TVC Passive pre-amp No.1. House inside the same chassis as the first, so upgrading your original is an option. The transformers are bespoke and carry an amazing response and price. We have changed hookup wire to the superb Mundorf 99% silver/ 1% gold, 0.5mm diameter wire and we are using the same silver plated contact, 2 pole 23 way switch, as used in the Dale Vishay stepped attenuators. A fabulously little kit that you have just got to try.
