To celebrate the arrival of the new Audio Note non-magnetic 0.5W resistors, Glasshouse has created this top-specification shunt stepped attenuator.
Due to the resistor values available from Audio Note, we can only supply 50K and 100K impedance versions on the Blore-Edwards 23 step, Seiden 23 step and Elma 24 step switches in mono and stereo and balanced stereo for XLR operation.
We supply as a kit or fully built. The build charge is £20 for the mono, £30 for the stereo and £60 for the balanced stereo.
The kit is supplied with the following.
- A full pack of 0.5W Audio Note Tantalum non-magnetic resistors, labelled with its step number.
- Switch of choice
- Mundorf 3.8% silver solder x 1m (mono), x2m (stereo) x 4m (balanced stereo)
- HGC 1mm diameter pure silver wire x 20cm (mono), x 40cm (stereo) x 80cm (balanced stereo)
- PTFE sleeving x 10cm (mono), x 20cm (stereo) x 40cm (balanced stereo)
