Glasshouse / NOS Audio Note switch / Takman 0.25W carbon film mono shunt stepped attenuator

Audio Note has moved over to a new in-house designed switch for their recently launched range of stepped attenuators. As a result, we were able to acquire the remaining stock of their old buttons at a very reasonable cost. With a shortage of chose of high-quality, accurate stereo taper potentiometers, more and more people are turning to stepped attenuators to achieve neutral channel-matched volume controls. Usually, stepped attenuators are relatively expensive, so we are happy to announce that we are able to provide a mono shunt attenuator for £50.00 + VAT + carriage - FULLY BUILT. We are also selling the mono version.

The Glasshouse stereo stepped attenuator offers 23 volume positions from mute to near full volume through our tried and tested 2dB step values of resistors. The front of the switch does possess a "non-turn" lug of 3.5mm in diameter x 5mm in length that protrudes through the front panel. This can be removed with cutters if not required.

Dimensions

Shaft: 6mm diameter x 13mm length

Bush: 10mm diameter x 10mm length

Body, including resistors fitted (internal part): 45mm x 50mm (oval shaped) x 22mm height

The front of the switch does possess a "non-turn" metal lug of 3.5mm diameter x 5mm in length that protrudes through the front panel, so provision is needed. This can be removed with cutters if not required. If not, a 3.5mm diameter hole that is 13.5mm distance from the centre hole of the shaft is required.

We supply the following load/series resistors, if you select 10K we actually give you 10K, 20K we provide 22K, 25K we give 24K, 50K we give 51K, 100K we provide 91K, 250K we provide 240K. This will not effect the performance as the difference is negligible.
