6L6 Valve/Tube Comparison

For this test we recorded in controlled conditions the different sound of 5 pairs of 6L6 valves, in a Fender Blues Deluxe (reissue) guitar amp. We used: Groove Tube 6L6-R JJ 6L6GC Electro-Harmonix 6L6GC Mesa Boogie 6L6STR-440 Jan Philips 6L6WGB The audio was looped by a TC Electronic Ditto Looper before any effects using a 60th anniversary Fender Telecaster, the amps built in spring reverb and a Nobels ODR-S overdrive pedal.
