A development tool for loudspeaker designers / experimentors. The thick board houses a large muilti-tapped capacitor, centrally located. This has 26 taps that provide capacitance values from 0.1uF to 100uF. The capacitor is a polypropylene type so it is non-polar, no directionality to worry about. The connection to each tap is via a gold plated screw terminal where bare wire can be attached or via a 4mm banana plug connection. At the front of the board there are 8 similar connection pairs that are all electrically joined together and are connected to the start of the capacitor.
With this multitap capacitor many values of capacitance can be achieve beyond the 26 values of the taps. For example connecting between the 22uF and 33uF taps you will have a 11uF tap.
The capacitor values include 0.1uF, 0.15uF, 0.22uF, 0.33uF, 0.47uF, 0.56uF, 0.68uF, 0.82uF, 1uF, 1.5uF, 2.2uF, 2.7uF, 3.3uF, 3.9uF, 4.7uF, 5.6uF, 6.8uF, 8.2uF, 10uF, 15uF, 22uF, 33uF, 47uF, 68uF, 82uF and 100uF.
Two boards would be required for stereo operation.
