S-83Am: Amtrans Alumina octal, chasis mount valve base, gold plated

This unique valve base from Amtrans includes a detachable flange that allows for easy connection to the chassis via the mounting holes.

Made in Japan out of ceramic that is 95% alumina, having a thermal conductivity that is about ten times higher than conventional steatite ceramics. It restrains the increase of tube temperature and contributes to the longer life of the tubes.

With gold-plated pins where the plating is directly on the phosphor bronze without using nickel ground lowers magnetic distortion and creates quality of sound.

Suitable for KT88/KT77/KT66/EL34/6550/6L6GC etc. valves.
