C-core Balanced Transformer Volume Control - UNAVAILABLE

The standard E&I core transformers from Glasshouse have been well received, but now there is something better. Glasshouse are proud to launch their C-core TVC transformers. Nanocrystalline cores, each lamination has a 0.02mm thickness, the build quality is outstanding. The improvement in core material offers are more fluid and dynamic signature, the clarity is sublime. The new C-cores are available in 2 versions, the single ended version (SE) for stereo users and the balanced version for the stereo balanced users.
Both utilise high quality enamelled copper wire for the windings, they provide 24 steps, with the SE version solder tags are fitted, but the Balanced version, because of the high number of links, are sold with enamelled copper wire with tinned ends (length 180mm). Overall dimensions are 110mm(h) x 110mm(d) x 96mm(w).

The transformers are supplied with solder tags, so choosing a good wire is essential. We recommend the 0.5mm dia. Mundorf 99%silver/1%gold wire, it sound excellent and is also bend friendly but there are various hookup wire you can use, click HERE

The measured THD and noise is a very low 0.023%, as measured in our kit. Each step of the TVC transformer is 2dB, so you will get great control over the full range. These transformers are sold in pairs.
