Its sliced wood-fibre cone, the slices filled with damping glue, breaks up the standing waves that plague conventional 7" diaphragms, delivering the midrange clarity and unusually smooth response the Revelator ange is famous for.

Behind the cone sits ScanSpeak's patented Symmetrical Drive (SD-1) motor with a large ferrite magnet system, paired with a low-loss linear suspension and low-damping SBR rubber surround. The cast alloy chassis is vented below the spider for maximised airflow and resonance termination, and the non-resonant dust cap structure keeps the whole moving system quiet. The result is lower compression, higher linearity and faster settling of excess energy.

Expect an F3 of roughly 65 Hz sealed and 40 Hz vented — a natural partner for a quality dome or ring radiator tweeter in two-way and three-way high-end builds, and an excellent choice for serious automotive installs.
